HAPPY 2017!

HAPPY 2017!

I have to say along with what seems to be a lot of other people (at least according to social media) I was happy to see 2016 come to an end! I had so many HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY memories but the end of the year was rough. Having a miscarriage changed me in ways I never expected. I kept a smile on my face because I wanted Timothy to have the best Christmas he could have! But the stress of all it really took its toll on Ryan and I behind closed doors, the miscarriage, work stress for Ryan (busy time of year), the running from one house to another when what we really needed was to be home for Christmas.

A new year always feels like a fresh start and that just what we needed. We spent New Year’s Eve weekend doing what we do best and that’s loving each other. Ryan took Timothy to play baseball, and Pokémon hunt, family dinners and RELAX, and we were in desperate need of that.

So HELLO 2017! We are ready for what you have in store for us! We have a lot of positive things to look forward too!

Yesterday Ryan, Timothy and I sat down to make our own family bucket list! Timothy was super excited about this… numbers 1 and 2 on Timothy’s list was get a dog, well we will see about that one, it’s a pretty big maybe…..

Here is what we came up with, we all sat down and organized it into seasons

  1. Go see a Spring Training Game, since Timothy is so into Baseball now, Ryan is excited to start taking him to more baseball games!
  2. Dye Easter Eggs, its kind of given with me LOL but Timothy said it so it’s on the list
  3. Do a Family 5 K, we are thinking a Color Run or something super fun!
  4. Spring Break at Disney World……YEAH, we love Disney! And Ryan is taking the week off!

  1. Have a Beach Vacation! We did this last year and it was soooooo much fun! Hoping to do it again, we are thinking about Disney’s Vero Beach resort!
  2. Watch Fireworks! Of Course!
  3. Enjoy Summer, we don’t have a lot on the list because we want to have to have fun, stress free days with friends and soak it all in!

  1. Visit a Pumpkin Patch, we do this every year and except this year because we were so busy, ugh I hate using the word busy, because busy = no fun in my book. So we are bring the tradition back for 2017!
  2. Make a scarecrow, Timothy wants the whole family to make a scarcrow to put in the front yard! HAHA
  3. . Go to a Bucs Game as a family! That’s easy enough!
  4. Everyone dress up for Halloween! When Timothy said I was like WOOHOO while Ryan was giving the sideeye!

1.See Santa at Disney Springs, we have done this the past two years and its amazing, you get a pager like at a restaurant and you come back when its your turn, you wait about 5-10 minutes and you see Santa, we made a whole day of it, shopped and had lunch it was so much fun.

2. Pick out a real Christmas tree, this was all Ryan, we have always had a fake one and he insisted that next year as a family we pick out a real one together! I loved the idea!

3. Have a Stress Free Christmas…..I just realized the picture says STREET BAHAHAHAHAHA well, I’m not going to change since this picture is just for this post. (The way I see it,  me posting anything to the blog is progress not perfection) This was all Ryan’s idea too. Like I said at the beginning this was a hard Christmas for us, and Ryan had this epiphany about making our own family traditions for Christmas, so we will see how this Goal goes this year.

4.See Christmas Lights in our Pjs, I was so all over this and surprisingly Ryan was too and of course Timothy has already started his Christmas List for next year, so he is ready!

I hope everyone has a a HAPPY and HEALTHY New YEAR!

What up Wednesday on Thursday :)

HI Friends!!!

It’s been awhile! So to get back in the swing of things I am linking up with the fab Mixandmatchmama, The Larson Lingo and Sheaffer told me too for WHAT UP WEDNESDAY which lol I am putting on the blog on Thursday….story of my life!

So let’s start

I wish I was writing this amazing menu for the week but let’s face it, this is a super duper busy time in my FAM’s life and we have had some easy meals and of course take out this week!

Being at home my baby! When school started, it changed everything, a whole new season of life. I miss having him home all day and playing and going places and just having fun!

Today we have a hurricane day and so far this morning we had donuts in our Pjs and watched a movie and PLAYED! It’s just like old times!

Starting in September I am going back to my goal setting worksheets……THE POWERSHEETS!

I have used Lara Casey’s Powersheets for the last couple of years but I stopped this past summer and I really want to get back to them again. It’s just a fun yet strategic way of setting good meaningful goals and sticking to them.

SCHOOL! Timothy has started first grade and I have become the new PTA president at his school. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks getting into the swing of things.13900231_10210617800787495_4852796506249773570_n

Not really anything…..life is good!

All things PTA! Being on the PTA Board has taken over, it’s a full time job that you don’t get paid for, but that’s ok cause I love it! Also I am one of the room moms for Timothy’s class and of course no baseball season is complete without a TEAM MOM! DO DODGERS!

Also just finished up my cousins baby shower, making some fun baseball line up signs and finally starting putting up my wreaths on etsy!

Wreaths 008

I love making wreaths and I have wanted to start an etsy shop for over two years! So I am finally starting! YAY! For goals! No matter how long it takes!

All things FALL! Halloween, my birthday, Thanksgiving!!!!!! I LOVE IT ALL! I am defiantly excited about getting into Timothy’s class and start doing room mom stuff too!

One of my favorite things that I did from last year is getting to decorate the classroom door and the classroom pumpkin.

NETFLIX!!!!! Ok, so I have just re-watched all of friends on Netflix, I am busy all day long; I need to have things on TV that I have already seen so I don’t feel like I’m missing something. It’s crazy I know!

On another note, I have been watching Bachelor in Paradise and ummmmm well the new Bachelor…..ugh….not a fan!

Phineas and Ferb soundtrack

We listen to this every morning, if helps Timothy get pumped for school

“This could possibly be the best day ever,
And the forecast says that tomorrow will likely be a million and six times better,
So make every minute count jump up, jump in and seize the day,
And let’s make sure that in every single possible way,
Today is Gonna to Be a Great Day!”

Well I normally forget to change it, so I am half way home when I realize I’m singing

“I’m the queen of Mars”

You will totally get if you are a Phineas and Ferb fan!

So I haven’t been shopping at all lately but since I have been doing more school stuff and speaking in front of people, I have given up (well half the time) my yoga pants and t-shirts and have looked back in my closet and have been wearing some cute dresses and some fun things! I’ll take some pics for next month.

I wish we had some exciting plans but we don’t haha! We have baseball practice this weekend, and Ryan still has to work on Monday.  So I will be playing catch up with ALL my things that I have going on. Maybe I can talk Ryan into a date night this Saturday, because we haven’t done anything without Timothy in FOREVER!

Even though it’s still so HOT outside just saying its September puts a whole new vibe out there for me! Can’t wait for fall, pumpkin spice everything (yes, I’m basic)

Thanks everyone for stopping by and reading my stuff, if you are new around here, remember I type like I talk, so if you don’t like run on sentences and bad punctuation, my post will drive you crazy!!!! HAHA

Always remember

Take the time to wish upon a star!

P.S. Planning a Disney Vacation stop by next week and see how to get started!

Hello Friends!

I am linking up with Andrea from Momfessionals (one of my fave bloggers) for SHOW AND TELL Tuesday for Reintroductions!

My Name is Jennifer and welcome to my own little fairytale.

This is me betternew pic

but lets be honest this is actually what I look like most of the time

jens phone April 2015 587

I love, LOVE and give all of mine to the two men in my life, my very own Prince Charming, Ryan and my sweet son, Timothy.

jens phone April 2015 108

They are my whole world and I can’t get enough of them. I am a wife and stay at home mom.  I live in the sunshine state!   I love to paint, draw and create. AND COFFEE is my drug of choice!  I also have a dark side where I love to watch trashy reality TV, drink wine and gossip with all my friends! Oh and I’m kind of messy, but most creative people are, RIGHT?

Did I mention I’m obsessed with ALL things Disney!! Walking down main street USA and seeing the castle still can bring me to tears and I have been there over 200 times. Also I have secretly always wanted to be a Disney Princess or at least Alice, and I know that is every little girl dream but I just never grew out of it.  With my love for Disney I have also become a RunDisney wannabe!

Timothy started Kindergarten this school year and its been a whole new season in life. I never thought it would be so different but it totally is!

This is it! This is my life! Welcome to it!

fairytale quote

SO also in this post you are suppose to talk about resolutions, well I am terrible at resolutions so I break GOALS down into monthly Goals. I feel like its more attainable for me.

This month its about just being BETTER

A better mom, wife, friend…..a better version of myself!

I am also doing Lara Casey’s Power Sheets so I will be blogging about that next week.

Bring on 2016!

Disney Day 2

Well I totally meant to post my Day 2 Disney pic last week, but I have been a little crazy with making decorations for Timothy’s Schools Book Fair and then just a million other little things that go on this time of year!

Well better late then never day 2 in pics

We started the day bright and early at the Animal Kingdom!

Ryan got a call from work so he had to head back to the hotel to log in for work and Timothy and I headed off to one more ride before heading back to the hotel too!

I knew Ryan still had a little bit of work to do so I took Timothy to the arcade and it was a blast!

After some rest at the hotel we were off to the Magic Kingdom! I am obsessed with Disney World especially at Christmas time!

He knows what to do, he has been to see Belle one or 30 times HAHA

Timothy never took a nap in the afternoon so I have no idea where all this energy came from, he is normally in bed by 8:30 but he was still going STRONG AT 10:30PM! I couldn’t believe it!

Picture Perfect!

Then finally at about 11:10pm he was done and just crashed!

Hope you enjoyed day two in pictures

Disney Day ONE!

HI Everyone!!!!!

I hope everyone had a fab Thanksgiving, I wanted to do a little picture recap of our Disney Trip!

Enjoy 🙂

We got in on Sunday and made it to Hollywood Studios, it was a little rainy but that wasn’t going to stop us! Timothy is always amazed how big the trees are.

Always posing!

Everywhere we went Timothy pointed out all his site word and tried sounding out words to read.

Everyone is so excited about all the Star Wars stuff coming to Hollywood studios!

Jake is still one of his faves!

First time meeting Santa Goofy, Timothy told Santa Goofy everything he wanted for Christmas!

Then it was off to the Osborne Family lights! I still cant believe that this is the last year, this has been a tradition since 2006 for Ryan and I. I did shed a tear or 100!  I am hoping that maybe we can make it there one more time before they take it down.

It didn’t take long for this guy to fall fast asleep. We still have the stroller for Disney (even though he is getting too big for it) But its better then having to carry this guy around!

I love a family selfie!

Ryan and I celebrating 9 years of marriage! I sure do love this guy!

Then back at the hotel! Of course Timothy was then wide awake and wanted to put together a Star Wars Lego set he got that day! Thanks to Uncle Alfred for the Disney gift card!

Ill be back tomorrow with more Disney pics!

October Goals

Now that school is back in and we have more of a schedule in place I started another month of goals!

Jog 100 Miles in October! I want to get back to jog/running. I want to get back to Disney to earn some more bling! We have a ton of stuff going on so I know this is not going to be easy to get 100 miles in but I am up for the challenge!

I just want to enjoy everything more! This is always a goal, I don’t like that I have to remind myself about it, but I when I do it makes me slow down and take a deep breath and enjoy! We have a lot of really fun things we are doing this month, and I want to take it all in!

I follow Lara Casey and this month and she is using October to stop and focus on being bright, free, and certain! I am all about this!

This one speaks for itself!

That’s it, three simple goals to achieve this month!

These are perfect to start getting back into the swing of things. Using my Power Sheets and my tending list to make all these goals into reality!

P.S.  October is also my B-day month!!!!

What Up Wednesday!

What UP Wednesday!!!!!!!

Hey there! Its been awhile!

Linking up with Mixandmatchmama, thelarsonlingo and Pinteresttoldmeto  for What Up Wednesday!!!!!

What we are eating this week…

I made Plant Hollywood’s Captain Crunch Chicken, I remember when I was little on one of our many Disney trips going to Planet Hollywood and having Captain Crunch chicken, then my mom making it a couple of times when I was growing up. I was feeling nostalgic and thought I would give it a try.

I totally forgot to take a picture of it, but it was super tasty!

You can find the recipe HERE

What I’m reminiscing about…

It’s no secret that I love a good costume. Honestly I can’t believe tomorrow is October, and now that Timothy is older and is deciding what he wants to be for Halloween I am thinking about all of his costumes that I was able to guide him into choosing haha

What I’m loving…

My Whitney English Day Designer by BlueSky

If you follow me on instagram you know I am a planner junkie, when Timothy started school I really wanted to start with an Academic planner to follow the school year. This just happened to be the time when Whitney English said that she would be doing a collaboration with BlueSky for Target. Well…. I was all over it! I was using the Simplified Planner from Emily Ley, and I love that planner but for 19.99 at Target I couldn’t resist that price point! So I went for it, and I am so happy I did! I did purchase the daily planner, I like to write all over the place so I need a daily just for the room. It has goal planner sheets in the front, Saturday and Sunday share a day, and Monday through Friday looks like this

What we have been up to…

School is in full swing and Kindergarten is going great!

Timothy had a rocky start with some crying, well a lot of crying! Once School started our lives have been all about school, T-ball, and trying to have fun along the way!

Last year I tried to take a pic of Timothy everyday, when Timothy was born a coworker (a much older gentleman) named Charlie told me how lucky I was to live in a time when we could take as many pictures of our children that we wanted.  He said, “They change so much everyday and you want to be able to remember as much as you can, so take pictures all the time, take pictures everyday!”

Well it was awesome advice and I definitely take picture-taking to the extreme! But I love every minute of it!

What I’m dreading…

I am going to be 33 years old this month, I love my birthday but I dread all the physicals and checkups…basically going to the doctor in general.

What I am working on….

Well, I am the room rep for Timothy’s Kindergarten class, so I have been busy working on all the ideas  I have for the students this year.

Also I have been working on the blog, I have been busy writing some Disney posts that I am hoping my peeps will find helpful when planning their vacations!

What I am excited about!

I am always excited about all the activities that go along with month of October, our town has different festivals, we go to the big pumpkin patch, and of course Halloween, but adding to it is all the fun school activates we will be during for Fall!

This is from last years pumpkin Patch!

What I’m watching

My brother just got me hooked on the show Arrow, I am only about 9 episodes in on the first season, but its AH-MAZING!!! Everything I love about superheros all wrapped up in a big bow!

What I’m listening too…

Oldie but a goodie

I found a bunch of old CD’s from when Ryan and I first got together so I have been listening to all the songs over and over again! This was my favorite, I was surprised it still plays, I listened to it sooooooo much!

What I am wearing…

HA! Tshirts and gym shorts! Like everyday!

Its bad! I need an intervention!

What I’m doing this weekend…

T-Ball, Bridal Shower, Town Festival and my favorite, getting out all my fall decorations!

Jam pack weekend with my loves!

What I’m looking forward to next month….

Everything fall related even though its super-duper hot outside!

What else is new…

Kindergarten is no joke, so we have been practicing everyday trying to make everything fun so Timothy stays interested, this was something fun I got off Pinterest to help with his site words

What is our favorite Halloween tradition…

We have so many! Basically all things I am looking forward too! The Pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, pumpkin flavored everything, picking out Halloween costumes, trick or treating! We love EVERYTHING fall related!

Happy October Everyone!

July Goals

I love having goals every month, it defiantly keeps me check. The month of June was exactly how I wanted it to be and that was hanging with Timothy!

Saying NO! I am going to continue with basically my June goals of Saying “NO” I actually got some not so nice comments and dirty looks for this one, but when it came down to it, I have to let it roll off my back. This is hard for me because I am a super sensitive person, but by saying no it allowed me to be in the moment and spend the time I want to with Timothy this summer. I have had so many people tell me that the summer before kindergarten is a very special summer, it’s the last summer before a new chapter in his life and I want to take this time to enjoy my baby!

READ! Well I read half a book, mostly because at night when I would normally read I was stayed up to watch Gilmore Girls on Netflix, I started watching (I had never seen it before) and got pretty obsessed, like 3 episodes a night obsessed and wasn’t going to bed until Midnight! seriously though one of the best shows I have ever seen! I was depressed when it was over.

Timothy’s Birthday- So excited to have a super awesome batman birthday. He could not be more excited this was him hand delivering an invite to his Grandma’s house (haha the party is at her house) dressed as batman!

It will be a super busy month so I am hoping to get through it all in one piece!  HAHA Also I am getting very excited about 4th of July (one of my fave holidays)

Hope y’all are having a great summer so far!
